Coimbatore: At a Glance

Coimbatore is a city in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. This city is also known as 'Kovai', which is spread across a radius of 250 Kms. approximately. The city is surrounded by mountains. So, the weather in this city is quite calm.

There are various places of visit in and around the city. I'll try to make the reading experience of the readers and viewers worthwhile. So, let's jump to it. 

Coonoor Tea Estate

Nestled at a short distance from the town, the tea estate in Coonoor is an ideal destination for people looking to enjoy the lush greenery. You have to come across approximately 8 hairpin bends to reach this place towards your right (if you are travelling from Coimbatore). This place is situated at an approximate distance of 75 Kms. from Coimbatore City. 

Coonoor Tea Estate has a parking capacity for over 50 vehicles. A nominal visiting fee cum parking charge will sum upto 50 INR. Once, you enter this place, towards centre you will find a beautiful nursery. This nursery has all varieties of saplings that you will find inside the estate. The place will make you feel like heaven, as the places is completely covered by greenery. The fresh air and the scenic views of mountains alongwith greenery will please your soul.

One of the best places to visit, to admire the beauty of nature. The fresh air and the peace you might experience there is what differentiates this place from any other Tea Estate or Farm. If you wish to purchase fresh tea leaves or masala, you will find them on your left towards the entrance gate. Refreshments are usually not allowed to be carried inside the premises,in order to keep the place clean.
